What's Fixed

Inventory
Upgrades you collect from boss kills now stick around between matches. The Inventory grid lives on the class-select screen and holds a stack of items. Hover any item for a tooltip with its name, system, and tier. The grid persists locally to your browser — when accounts land, it'll move server-side automatically.
Ship Upgrades
Each class card now has three Upgrade slots — one per Ship System (Weapons, Armor, Drive). Drag an item from the Inventory into the matching slot to equip it; drag it back out to unequip. You can also move an equipped Upgrade between classes if the systems match.
Equipped Upgrades now actually do something! When you join a match, your equipped tier gets applied to your ship as a permanent baseline — Tier 1 equipped feels like a permanent Tier 1 power-up. Power-ups you pick up still work, but only if their tier is strictly higher than what you've already got equipped (otherwise the drop is consumed without effect). Affixes are still flavor text for now — the magnitudes you see on cards are placeholders while the affix system gets dialed in.
